Info media photography : What is the difference between digital and film photography? Do both types of photography require a different approach and set of rules? Or are they basically one in the same?
The difference is actually quite small and more on the technical side, dealing with the way the image is captured. You still use the same photography tips to expose an image.
With film photography the image is captured through light sensitive materials (The film) and is then put through a developing process where this film is processed and placed on a surface (photo paper) or converted to a digital file.
With digital photography, the image is captured digitally. As a result, you don’t have to worry about developing the image.
Both film and digital have their strengths and weaknesses. Below is a quick comparison of the two.
